Tiffany Foster

Tiffany Foster is an American painter based in London. Her work investigates memory, emotion, and the human condition through primarily figurative compositions. Having studied Fine Art and Art History at Academy of Art University in San Francisco and completing an MA in History of Art at the Courtauld, traditional Renaissance techniques tend to inform her practice. While her painting style draws from classical techniques, her practice combines careful observation with subtle distortions of perspective and atmosphere, creating images that feel both familiar and unsettled. Rooted in personal experience, her work remains open-ended, allowing meaning to shift through the viewer’s interpretation.

She has been exhibited internationally, mostly in the UK and USA, most notably, The Many Lives of Cats & Companions at Usagi NYC in 2026, Elucidate with LumiNoir London in 2026, Southwark Open Group Exhibition at Southwark Park Gallery in 2024 and 2025, and a solo show Abysmal Memories with Blind Insect Gallery, Portland 2024. Her artwork has also been published in various magazines such as Swim Press, and her academic writing features in Courtauld Journals.

Tiffany has worked for many years across cultural institutions both teaching art and supporting gallery work at places such as Lavender Leonardos Art School and David Zwirner Gallery.
